Description

Description

This Phoenix model sports a black coated handle with a Phoenix laser etching. Its blade features a black Cerakote finish with a partially serrated sharpened top edge.

The Paragon Phoenix offers a single-edge version of the popular Warlock design. It has the same innovative opening mechanism that offers quick one-handed deployment and easy closing. The handle is made from tough and lightweight aluminum with a tapered pommel that rests perfectly in the hand. CPM-S30 steel provides a tough blade with a compound grind for precision cutting performance. A stainless steel pocket clip with a black finish completes the superior design.

Features:
  • Warlock style opening mechanism offers rapid one-hand blade deployment.
  • Innovative black cerakote coating process provides an extremely durable blade and handle finish.
  • S90V steel for excellent strength and edge retention.

I was worried this was just a novelty that also happened to be a knife. Fortunately, it's a nice knife that's also a novelty. I wish this were offered with an unpainted blade, as the steels used are corrosion resistant, and I fear finish will wear off after contact with handle scales. Imprint of steel type on blade is so tiny that it's impossible to distinguish S30V from S90V, which could be an issue if you resell the knife. Still, the lock up is excellent. Very innovative and collectible, but also usable.
