The Benchmade 5270S has a 440C blade (partially serrated). The drop point blade featured ambidextrous thumb-studs. The handles are textured Noryl GTX (tough and lightweight!) over a steel frame. The 5270 line has the AXIS lock system which makes the knife easier (and faster) to open and close. The 5270 lineup is automatic- pull the AXIS lock down and the blade opens automatically. The knife's spine has a safety so the knife won't open by accident. The pocket clip can be reversed for right or left handers. Over all this is an excellent knife with a good feel and weight- something you could trust your life with.
