Description

Description

This knife is a work of art and one of Boker' finest pieces. The first thing you'll notice when you get your knife is that the box is shaped like an AK-47 magazine (the name "Kalashnikov comes from the Russian who designed the AK-47 assault rifle). The knife features a grey aluminum handle with molded finger grips. The design is thin, elegant and comfortable. The blade is AUS-8 steel with a black finish. The action of this knife is first rate and comparable to that of the Boker Magnum series. All Kalashnikovs come with a pocket clip for easy carry.

Although this knife does not include a sheath, we have a selection of sheaths made specifically for Boker Kalashnikov knives:

I bought this knife just after graduating Basic Training. Sharp, reliable, no blade play, great looking.

My buddy owns the Limited Sand Dagger Point version and has for years. He has never had an issue with it, and his is proof that the action gets even smoother over time without compromising blade tightness or speed of firing.

My only regret is that I paid nearly double what BHQ is charging. My only suggestion (or rather wish) is for a slightly extended blade release/lock button, just enough to make gloved operation easier, but not so much as to sacrifice the safety of the knife (neither mine nor any of the ones I've seen have opened inside of a pocket).

Have confidence that you are buying a great knife at a great price, no matter which color/blade variant you get.

I've owned this one for about a year or so and have put it thru its paces. I love it. The push button at first was gritty and hard to push but after a little oil and time it's now smooth as butter. The blade comes out quick and doesn't have any play once open. The aus8 steel is pretty good, mine came razor sharp out the box and I was able to shave not only my arm hair but my face as well. It sharpens easily and keeps its edge for a long time. The gray scales have worn a little but I love the look of it, kinda battle worn look to it now. I own different knives from dif brands, gerber, sog, bench made. And I have to say as far as pocket knives this is my fav!
This knife is great.
