Here's the Coffin Nail Drop Point #1, an exceptional handmade folding knife from Burr Oak Knives. It has a San Mai 416/52100 steel drop point blade with an oversized flipper opener. The titanium liner lock handle is outfitted with "Jelly Roll" mosaic Damascus bolsters, layered carbon fiber/blue G-10 scales and an anodized pocket clip. The blade, liners, and steel backspacer are fileworked. This knife comes with a signed certificate of authenticity, dated 4/2/15.
Mark Nevling, the craftsman and creator of Burr Oak Knives, discovered his enthusiasm for knife-making in 1987 when he created his first knife. He has continued in perfecting his work since that time, now as a full-time maker with a skill set that is evidenced in the exemplary knives he produces. Mark Nevling is also a volunteer firefighter and a certified first responder in Hume, Illinois; this gives him working knowledge of the particular needs of these professionals.
