Case Knives, AKA W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery Company, began its life as a knife-making legend when the Case brothers started selling knives out of the back of a wagon in 1889. Since then, Case has become a symbol of the American can-do spirit. Case Knives have been carried in every major war effort and even as part of the survival kit on Apollo 11 when mankind first landed on the moon. Today, Case is one of the most collected knives all over the world.
Trapper Knives
A Trapper is a traditional slip joint knife that usually features a clip point blade for precision cuts and a Spey blade for longer cutting. Originally designed for fur trappers (hence the name), the knife evolved to include two blades of equal lengths. For over a century, the Trapper knife has been a staple everyday carry. Trapper knives can also be found with one, three, four, or even five blades. Although trapper knives were originally popular for skinning animals, the spey blade is perfect for push cuts and precise slicing when a sharp tip might get in the way and accidentally pierce material in the wrong place. The clip blade is better for piercing and great for just about anything requiring a decent cutting tool.
