I picked up the Stonewashed 440C dogbite with one thing, and only one thing in mind, which is to practice flipping. The knife feels weighty in the hand leading to a much more solid feeling of momentum without requiring to put a lot of speed into your flips. 440C isn't an amazing supersteel, but for everyday carry it will do just fine, and should prove easier to sharpen than some other choices. The bronze bushings are a fine choice as they will continue to smooth the action over time as they naturally polish from the action itself. Overall, I love this knife and have no issue recommending it to someone who desires a first high end butterfly.
