Hogue, well known for their gun grips, has ventured into the knife world. Hogue Knives' second offering in the Extreme Series is the EX-F01 Tactical Fixed Blade Knife, designed by Allen Elishewitz.

The EX-F01 knife is tough, with a 1/4" thick A2 tool steel blade this tactical fixed blade isn't the type to let you down. The 7" KG Gun-Kote finished drop point blade is full tang with an extended breaker at the base. The shape and contour of the handle offers extreme comfort and grip with the index groove below and spine notches up top. The black G-10 handle scales feature a stylish "G-Mascus" pattern. Securely tucked on the front side of the handle is a Torx wrench so you can remove the scales, revealing a little storage inside. The EX-F01 includes a black Milspec ballistic nylon sheath with a MOLLE compatible back.

Warranty: Limited lifetime warranty to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship.

Bad scratches from manufacturers
Ian F.
I ordered the hogue to be used for basic bush crafting. I ordered from Blade HQ on a Friday and received it on a Monday with the free shipping. As soon as I opened the box and removed the knife from the sheath I noticed that there were deep scratches running down the length of the blade. I wasn't sure what caused them at first but after pulling it out of the sheath a few more times I noticed there were more scratches and marks. You could see that the scratches were getting deeper as well meaning the coating hogue uses on the blade is sub par. The culprit was the very very cheap and very low quality sheath. Hogue cut a huge corner when they made that sheath. I pulled the sheath out of its molle carrying case and found it was two dirt cheap prices of plastic held together by transparent duct tape! DUCT TAPE! This was totally unacceptable at this point. The good news to all this was the absolutely wonderful customer service I had at Blade HQ. I called, explained my problem, and received postage to my email in under two minutes. I LOVE blade HQ and I will absolute buy from them again. As for hogue, I will not be buying their products again and neither should you. You can get an ESEE 6 for a fraction of the price with a great powder coat that's indestructible and a good quality sheath.
