I'm very happy with my purchase. Knife was delivered within four days of shipping notification and it's a beautiful knife.

Pros
- AUS-8 steel holds an edge two to three times longer than 420HC in my testing, and very easy to sharpen
- Blade is shaving sharp out of the box
- Perfect blade centering out of the box
- Four position pocket clip easily adjusted with a T6 driver and blue loctite threadlocker
- Easy to disassemble and reassemble for maintenance
- Good detent and very smooth deployment. Takes little to no effort to open with the thumb studs
- Very strong liner lock with absolutely NO blade play in any direction
- Nice ergonomic design. My hand fits right where it needs to go on the handle, and the handle choil holds my pointer finger perfectly in place.

Cons
- Grip is a little smooth, but not anything to worry about.
- Handle is a tad bigger than most pocket folders and takes some getting used to in pocket and in hand.

My experience with BladeHQ is satisfactory and the knife is just what I wanted. For anyone hunting for an EDC or heavy use pocket knife on a budget, you cannot beat the Ontario Rat 1. It's a very high quality, simply built, meat and potatoes pocket knife. Go buy one! You won't be disappointed.
