2011 SHOT Show – Day 2

2011 Show, Day 2
Zero Tolerance : The 0551 knives are being assembled right now and should ship any day.
Spyderco: We played with tons of cool new prototypes.  New models 2011 models coming in April & May.We chatted with Gayle Bradley (one of the Spyderco designers) about some of his upcoming designs and discussed the possibility of carrying some of his custom models.
Kershaw: We’ll be working more closely w/ Kershaw in 2011, adding their full product line, including kitchen knives.  They confessed to having some production problems last year, but said they have things under control now and hope to have everything debuted at the SHOT show available by May.
Bradley Cutlery: New butterfly models in the works, a possible BHQ exclusive and a very exciting new knife (we’ll see if we can talk more about this knife in the near future- Bradley & Kershaw have invested over $100,000 into the machinery to produce this particular knife).
Surefire: We’re working to become a direct dealer and plan to pick up their knife & pen products. They introduced a slew of new product for 2011.
Sante Fe Stonework: We are considering carrying customized products like the Kershaw Leek and some Spyderco models. If there is a demand it’s a relationship we’ll pursue.
Gerber:  Tons of new Bear Grylls products on the horizon. Pete Gerber was at the show and we visited briefly with him.
We met up w/ Doug Ritter of Knife Rights to discuss some exciting legislative efforts in Utah. More news on that front later.
After the show we hung out at Benchmade’s party at the Lavo (in the Palazzo) and got crazy (not really).
