Blade Show 2016: Benchmade, ZT and Microtech

Blade Show Welcome
Waiting in line for BLADE

Whew. What a day! Today I ran around BLADE Show and saw tons of knives, saw lots of wonderful people, and made tons of new friends. Honestly, I can’t even remember everything that I saw today. After this, I will need a week to recuperate.
We ran into Lucas Burnley and snapped this photo of him at the Blade HQ photo spot.

Benchmade
For years people have asked Benchmade to make a black G-10 version of the Osborne 940. Now, they have finally made it. As an added bonus, the knife also has stunning green backspacers.

Benchmade also brought a really nice version of the Contego with carbon fiber handles and a laminated carbon fiber D2 blade. There are only 30 that were made and they were being sold exclusively through the show.

Zero Tolerance
Zero Tolerance brought a nice new addition to show off their manufacturing prowess. The ZT 0427 is a Sinkevich design with a composite CPM-154 and CTS-XHP blade, brown anodized titanium handles and a sub inset frame lock. No word on a release date yet.

Microtech
Microtech’s newest addition is a “Bounty Hunter” version of the Ultratech OTF.

Microtech also brought a new collaboration with Borka Blades. These fixed blades look really cool.

  1. Looks alike, you really enjoyed there. Anyway, I really loved your views about Benchmade zt and looked like it’s not bad to try my hand out on this knife. Thank you so much. Keep the great work up!
