Butterfly knife trainer

We just got in some new butterfly trainers at Blade HQ, and I just had to share them with you guys. Take a look:

hom-prodigy-butterfly-trainer

This butterfly knife trainer is especially worth looking into because it is a high end, quality trainer. Most trainers you’ve come across in the past have probably been pretty inexpensive with the exception of a few. This trainer, however, is as high quality as they come.

You might be wondering, “Why would you ever want to get a high end butterfly knife trainer?” That’s a fair question. After all, many people just use trainers temporarily until they get the hang of flipping. It turns out that spending a little more to get a good trainer can actually be a good thing, though.

Why bother with a high-end trainer?

One reason is that a trainer that costs you a little bit more is going to have better quality than a budget trainer. I don’t know about you, but a balisong trainer is something that I only want to buy once. If you spend a little more on trainers like this high-end trainer from Jerry Hom, it’s going to have excellent quality and won’t fall apart on you. This means you won’t have to replace it (or at the very least that you won’t have to replace it very often).

Also, ideally you want to have a balisong trainer that is similar to the real balisong you’re going to be using. That way it’s an easier transition from trainer to bali. If you start out with a trainer like this one that has great quality, it will be easier to transition to an actual knife that has the same quality, and also preferably a lot of the same specifications (weight, etc.). If you go from a budget trainer to a high quality butterfly knife, you’re still going to have a lot of adjusting to do.

In summation, a high-end trainer can be beneficial because it will last a long time and it will help make an easier transition to a high quality butterfly knife.

This Butterfly Knife Trainer

As stated above, this trainer is unique because it has all the features that a high-quality balisong has. This butterfly knife from Jerry Hom totals 9.5 inches in length and features a 4.24-inch trainer blade blade. The handle is made of CNC-machined titanium and the clip-point blade is made of 440C steel. If you’re familiar with Jerry Hom’s other work, then this trainer might look familiar. That’s because it shares a lot of traits with the Tempest and Basilisk balisongs like its “true radiused handles with precision chamfered slots that are finished in a gunmetal grippy blasted texture.” Another trait in this trainer that’s characteristic of Hom’s work is the sweeping recurve and also the “horns” you see at the base of the blade. All in all, this balisong weighs 5 ounces, so it’s a great weight for a butterfly knife trainer.

This trainer is pretty spectacular if you ask me. It showcases everything you want in a real balisong and presents it in the form of a trainer. If you are in the market for a balisong trainer, I’d seriously take a good look at this one. It’s difficult to find a trainer that can match the quality and functionality of this Jerry Hom trainer. Get yours at Blade HQ! There’s still time to get it in time for the holidays if you order it now, so don’t delay if you’re getting this trainer for a friend or loved one this holiday season.
