New Kershaw Knives Models for 2011

Kershaw Knives has announced their new models for 2011. It looks like they have some really exciting things coming up.
The newest knives for 2011:
Kershaw Compound – 1940
A new spring assisted knife to add to the excellent Shun Ken Onion Series. It will have 8CR13MoV blade steel and glass-filled nylon handles. This knife will be available in both plain and partially serrated versions.

Kershaw Tremor – 1950
Another great spring assist from Kershaw. This knife features jimping on the choil to ensure a firm grip on this knife. This knife features 8CR13MoV blade steel and G-10 handles. This knife will be available in both plain blade and partially serrated options.

Kershaw Drone – 1960
Another spring assisted knife from Kershaw. A classic clip-point blade knife, with a modern handle. This knife will be available in both plain blade and partially serrated options.

Kershaw Asset – 1930
A lightweight and maneuverable trailing-point blade knife. Spring assisted. 8CR13MoV stainless-steel blade. This knife will be available in both plain blade and partially serrated options.

Kershaw Vapor III – 1655
This knife will be similar to previous versions of the Vapor. It will have an 8CR13MoV stainless-steel blade with a stainless-steel handle.

Kershaw Skinning Knife – 1080
Part of the American-made hunters series. This is a fixed blade knife with Sandvik 14C28N blade steel and full-tang construction. G-10 handle scales available in black or orange.

Kershaw Field Knife – 1082
Also part of the American-made hunters series. Fixed blade knife with Sandvik 14C28N blade steel and full-tang construction. G-10 handle scales available in black or orange.

Kershaw Piston – 1860
A larger spring assisted knife with anodized aluminum handles that make it light enough for everyday carry. It will feature Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel.

Kershaw Echelon – 1880
This spring assisted knife opens with a thumbstud that is centered in the middle of a large blade cutout. Also features a semi-translucent G-10 handle so you can see the operation of the mechanism inside.

Kershaw Knockout – 1870
A spring assist knife that features Kershaw’s Sub-Frame lock. This is a sturdy locking mechanism inside a lightweight aluminum handle.

Kershaw Burst – 1970
This knife has a cool, spiked look. 8CR13MOV stainless steel blade with glass-filled nylon handle. This knife will be available in both plain blade and partially serrated options.

Kershaw 3 1/2″ RJI – 1985
Designed by RJ Martin. This knife features a flat ground tanto tip which makes it much thicker and stronger than other tanto tips. This knife will have 3-D machined G-10 handles and a 8CR13MOV stainless steel blade. This knife will be available in both plain blade and partially serrated options.

Kershaw 3 1/8″ RJI II – 1980
Same knife as above, a slightly smaller version.

Designed by Matt Diskin. A spring assisted folder with 8CR13MOV stainless steel and glass-filled nylon handles.

Kershaw Brawler – 1990
A modified tanto blade with an extra-thick blade tip. Uses 8CR13MOV stainless steel and glass-filled nylon handles.

Kershaw One Ton – 1447
Just like the Kershaw Half Ton, but bigger.

This one is just like the Kershaw Half Ton, but bigger and smaller than the One Ton.

  1. Hey Ken, the Rake isn’t here because technically its a 2010 model. The same thing goes for the Kershaw Tilt even though nobody has been able to get their hands on those yet.

  2. I have been trying to find the Kershaw Burst 1970 st since seeing it on Kershaw’s site. When will they actually hit the retail market?

  3. Hi Gary, we aren’t sure when exactly the Kershaw Burst is going to hit the market. Last year, Kershaw had some problems with their production and some of the models they announced for 2010 haven’t come out at all yet. Word is, that they got all of it sorted out and this years models will come out this year sometime, but unfortunately I don’t have any better answer than that.
