Bear & Son Staging
Bear & Son Cutlery has a rich tradition of producing high-quality knives out of Jacksonville, Alabama. Bear & Son pocket knives are ergonomic in hand, built tough to go the distance, and represent an amazing value.
In 1991, Parker Edwards Knives made preparations to close their Jacksonville, Alabama factory. When employees and members of the community turned to Ken Griffey for help, he stepped up to the plate, bought the factory, and reincarnated it as Bear Knives. Victorinox acquired the company almost ten years later, but decided to close the factory soon after. Ken Griffey and his son Matt bought the factory again and established Bear & Son Cutlery.
Bear & Son produces a variety of knives such as classic folders with stag bone handles, Bowie blades, and butterfly knives. Griffey and his team consider knife-making a dying art, and are determined to keep the legacy of quality, homegrown craftsmanship alive. Almost all of their knives are made by hand in U.S.A.
