I purchased two - one for me and my father in law. One unit would not fully deploy, but it was from the liners being one half mm too close to the blade at the tip. A gentle pry with a small flathead screwdriver made the unit perfect. I'm keeping that one and gifting the other that came working perfectly. The lock up is nice, and there is no blade play. Sweet blade with script inscription. The stain on the wood stinks, but this is a gentleman's automatic folder for letter opening at your desk and makes a sweet gift for home use. Cheers.
