My friend got this for me as a gift. My first real balisong after months with a trainer. Not a lot of options small enough for my state's knife laws and I wanted one I could EDC. I've had a lot of fun with it, but it's given me a lot of problems. When I first got it, I started flipping it and trying to loosen it up a bit and within 20 minutes, one of the tang pins falls out. Took 2 days to find it. Put it back in and put some Loctite in both pins. Now they're fine. Now one of the pivot screws is constantly coming loose. I have to stop constantly while I flip to hand-tighten it. Can't make it too tight or the movement is too stiff (reluctant to loctite it, because if I make it too tight or too loose I won't be able to fix it once the glue is cured). Also could have been sharper when I got it and the latch isn't very good. Aside from those small quality issues, it's decent. It's lightweight and feels comfortable to flip. Nice, practical blade design. Not sure if these issues are just with my knife but it's not exactly what I was expecting for $90. Not bad, but if I'm gonna get another blade, I'll save up for something nice. Next time. My friends got a TRS Striker tanto lock knife for only $75 and it feels much more solid.
