Better than the regular 51
Jeremy T.
feels and weighs a little more and theres something about the overall shape that makes it easier to flip as well. and the color green was wayyy better than expected i was scared it would be a zombie green but it was actually a beautiful tropical green
Solid knife!

After having learned and practiced a lot with a Bear Ops knife and not minding it too much, this one feels like a few steps up the ladder.

I will admit, the light weight of this knife will throw you off if you're used to standard or heavy ones, but just put a piece of tape over the blade for a while to get used to it. Definitely razor sharp right out of the box too. Learned that the hard way!

Would highly recommend this knife. Price is a tad steep if you're just getting into it, but for anyone who knows the basics and wants something actually sturdy and solid feeling to flip around, this makes a great purchase.

PS: Would also highly recommend Benchmade's Blue Lube for the pivots as well. Keeps it extremely smooth feeling!

It's a ok knife, it has a decent amount of blade rub and handle play the looks of the knife are beautiful bronze washers could be a litttle thicker to remove play its great on y2k's and most tricks but i recommend finding a brs rep on the secondary market

I've been dabbling in butterfly trainers for like a year now, and wanted a real one, yet couldn't really find what I was looking for. I am very picky about what I spend my money on.

I came across the benchmade 51. Loved it, wasn't crazy about plain black.

Then I saw THIS limited edition in green g-10 scales and, like Harambe, I went bananas.

- It's really light in hand
- Deep, vibrant green
- Back of blade is thick & smooth
- Ergonomic taper in middle of handles
- Zen pins > tang pins (IMO)
- Stonewash blade is aesthetic AF

- Price I guess, but if you want quality you pay for it. And this knife is quality.

Was my first real balisong, didn't quite know what to expect. After using it, gotta say worth every penny.

10/10 Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking.
Awesome Blade!

I've been a knife collector for a while, but this was my first Balisong. I have quickly fallen in love with the design, color and features of the knife. It feels great, operates flawless and is more fun to fool around with than any App of Fidget device you will find.
I have played around with other cheaper knives and always walk away more impressed with what's in my pocket. In my opinion, its money well spent!

Just Awesome

Great EDC bali. Loving the BHQ green.
Green with love

I've had a Morpho 32 for some time, but this is my first 51. I have to say that this knife does not disappoint. Function is flawless and movement is buttery smooth. The stonewashed blade adds another element to the aesthetics and combined with the green handles modeled after the 42/62, it's a winning combination.
Worth every penny

I am new to the balisong movement. I have been looking to buy one for a long time but couldn't pull the trigger until I saw this one. Let me say I was not disappointed in the least. The knife functions flawlessly, and may look better than it functions. The pocket clip is in a good spot and unbelievably makes very nice for everyday carry. I normally carry a leatherman cx133 which has screwdrivers on it, and this has a smaller footprint but is a bit longer. Overall very impressed and extremely happy with this knife.

I absolutely love that these scales have the 42 /62 hole pattern in them. If Benchmade made a Model 51 with titanium scales in this hole pattern I would be getting out my credit card. I miss my 42.

I do have a standard black handle 51 and love it. The lighter G-10 handles mean it is slightly lacking as a flipper, but I challenge you to find a 9 1/4" knife (total length) that carries as easily in your pocket as the Model 51. They advertise it as an every day carry knife, and it serves that purpose well if you are lucky enough to be someplace where such knives are legal to carry.
