Built like a tank with solid open and lockup.

This is NOT a standard pocket knife. Benchmade has models for those unwilling to carry this much knife. For those of us who are, this knife is a solid choice.

It rides low in the pocket and belies itís intimidating size (intimidating for bedwetters). Iím a confessed blade freak, so it works well for me.

Great knife, but just like the CLA Benchmade needs to redesign the pocket clip. The current set up w/ raised retaining screws on the clip loves to eat denim. A simple counterbore where the clip screws attach to the handle, so the screw heads are flush to the scales or moving the retaining screws above the pocket clip, so they're above the swing of the clip should've been done years ago. It's a bummer to pay over 200$ for a knife that eats your pockets. Seems like a no brainer and I'm surprised it's taking BM so long to figure this out. Crying shame at this price point.

Presidio: noun.
a garrisoned place especially : a military post or fortified settlement in areas currently or originally under Spanish control.

Iíve EDCíd this knife for a month before writing this review.

Itís probably the most comfortable folding knife Iíve ever held. The aluminum scales provide grip, while not snagging or catching in pockets (or shredding your hands or pockets).

Using the AXIS lock to deploy the knife just makes sense. The blade deploys with authority, and locks up with zero play. The safety switch is bomb proof ó but so is the entire knife.

The blade centers perfectly in the handles. Fit and finish are as perfect as you can ask for from a factory. The mill work is excellent, and the scales have nicely chamfered edges. The deep carry pocket clip is excellent.

While larger and heavier than some knives, itís still smaller and lighter than an iPhone 7 Plus, or my wallet. Iím not going to cry over an ounce for a tool as excellent as the Presidio II.

Since the scales arenít sharp and aggressive, Iíll just have to take my chances that the knife may slip when covered with alien slobber.

The best way I can describe carrying this knife is like this: It's like driving a King Ranch F-350 as your daily, you don't always need everything it's capable of, but its really nice knowing that it can handle everything you could ask of it. It feels big, the blade flies open and locks up solid. Even the sound it makes when you close it is satisfying. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.
