The AFO II 9052 has a matte satin finished Tanto blade with a plain cutting edge. The handle is black anodized aluminum with a fully reversible pocket clip. Includes a ballistic nylon sheath with Malice clip.

The Benchmade AFO II automatic knife is an evolution of the 9050 AFO, one of the most practical automatic knives ever made. The improvements made to this knife are substantial. The knife is large, sturdy and built for use with an improved push button lock that is 30% stronger than the original. The AFO 2 has an over-sized firing button for easy operation, even with gloves. The 154-CM stainless steel blade deploys quickly and the 6061 T-6 aluminum body is an ideal size for a rock-solid grip and now includes a steel glass breaker tip. The open backspacer design makes cleaning and maintenance easy. The sliding safety on the back does its job flawlessly. The AFO II is a truly superior knife design in every respect.

Built like a TANK!
Rob I.
Love this Auto Blade! It is so well built it definitely lands in the over built category. The lock up is outstanding... no play in the blade at all. The handle feels great in the hand and not too heavy. If I had to knock this blade for anything... the lock for the deploy button is a bit soft... It does have a lite click but I wish it to be more positive. Meh, it still works. Some will find the action to be a little on the anemic side. Keep in mind that this is a big blade. Just because it doesn't jiggle your arm-fat doesn't mean the spring is too weak. To be honest, if the spring was any more stout you won't be able to operate this knife one-handed. 97% of you will love the blade just like I do! Cheers.
