Description

Description

The Benchmade Griptilian 550SBKHG knife features textured black Noryl GTX handles, which are very strong and very lightweight. Double 420J stainless liners add strength to the knife handle. The AXIS lock mechanism makes the knife easy to open and easy to close for right and left handers. The modified Sheepsfoot blade is BK black finished 154-CM stainless steel with a hollow grind, partially serrated edge and ambidextrous thumb hole. The pocket clip can be reversed for right or left handed use. Mel Pardue design.

This is the second Griptilian I have bought and used it at work all the time (Work as Harbor Police) I like Benchmade’s warranty and blade replacement option, which makes me less worried about using it to get the job done without fearing too much about loss or damage. Working in a marine environment, I can say that the 154 CM Steel has held up just fine and shows no signs of rust. The serrated edge really helps cut through boat line in seconds too. Some say the polymer handle feel cheap but on the plus side they are plenty tough and feel more grippy than the G-10 version and the knife overall feels light in weight. This is a good Benchmade for anyone looking to get into knives for the first time.
