Description:
The H2O Griptilian features grip textured molded orange handle (strong and very lightweight). Plain N680 stainless steel drop point blade for maximum corrosion resistance. The pocket clip can be reversed for right or left handed people. The AXIS lock system makes the knife easy to open and easy to close (it operated identically for right and left handers).
I have different Benchmade knives but none made for salt water and high humidity environments, until I purchased this knife. As with all my other griptilians, this knife arrived perfect, centering, lockup, and no blade play. There have been rumors that the H2O griptilians will be discontinued so get yours now while you can. Other knife vendors on the web don’t have it in stock anymore. Thanks BHQ, for keeping this knife in stock and sending me an excellent knife, I just might pickup another BM H2O from BHQ!
Great EDC of course. No play in the blade whatsoever and its crazy sharp out the box. Really good grip and texture. But I just wish it wasn't so wide, but you put up with it because it feels so good in the hand. Still a great EDC nonetheless.
The Griptilian is a good, stout knife, capable of any EDC tasks and more. The blade takes a good edge easily and with the Axis lock, this is definitely the fastest knife I own (It also happens to have an unparalleled fidget factor. I can flick this thing open and closed for hours.). I love this knife and I plan to get a Sheepsfoot model in the future as well.
154 cm steel, but for edc do you really need s30v or Better steels? This knife is amazing, love the lock, the scales(that grip but don’t rip pants), and simply the Benchmade Warranty keeps your knife working for the rest of your life. Amazing knife super fun to play with axis lock!
Had this knife for years, never any rust. If you work in a harsh environment, this knife is for you!
I had bought this knife not off here on BladeHQ, but I've had the privilege of using and owning this blade. The handle girth and how it filled your hand was the very first thing I noticed and fell in love with. I believe the knife lives up to its name with that aspect. But the texturing and gimping on the blade and handle could use work. The axis lock, deployment, and closing of the blade is the simplest and easiest to use of any knife I own. I think it is a great introduction to the axis lock and a great knife for almost any use. Despite being close to a $100 blade, I use it the most of all my knives because it is a joy to use.
