The box it comes in is certainly way cool. Magazine clip (I own an AK-47).
The knife itself is a little on the small end. I own other knives that are 3.25" blade length. This one actually seems smaller, maybe the shape.
Overall, I do love the tango shape, both helpful for job site and self defense.
The blade came reasonably shape, but I sharpened it before use, as my first use was going to be installing windows.
The deployment is sticky and slightly awkward. After about 30 openings on the job, it loosened up a little, but still sticky. It is very helpful to have a knife that you can open and close easily with one hand when doing construction.
Blade thickness was nice for more precise work. I also had the Cold Steele Reacon in site and it works well for more beefy work, but is not a great one hand opening or closing tool.
The black finish quickly wore off when I was simply cutting off excess foam insulation. I think this is a manufacturing defect. I have never had this happen with other knives, even ones that I have had for over a decade.
In terms of self defense,...smallish knife that some people might like. I prefer more heavy knives. My EDC is an Emerson super commander, just for your reference.
I have never carried an auto for concern of it failing. This knife hasn't changed that concern.
So 2 1/2 stars for self defense, due to it being sticky to open.
4 stars for utility job knife.
3 stars overall.
Good starter knife for autos and worth the price
