Awesome knife Auto action extremely fast..Very Pleased with the quality and construction of the Tanto Blade partial Serrated Blade.
Looking for an auto knife on a budget? This is the one. Makes for a great everyday beater.
I purchased this knife for my boyfriend and I had engraving added to the handle. I was concerned at first that the black coloring of the blade and the text engraving on the handle would scratch off easily. However this knife is VERY good quality! I purchased it around 7 months ago and the engraving is still VERY clear and not scratched at all. The coloring on the handle and blade has started to wear off in a few places but it is very minimal wear and scratches. The action is still as snappy as when I bought it! :)
Bought this knife on sale for 40 dollars and ive heard boker is a good knife so i tried it out and i like it as much or more than some of the 100-200 dollar knives ive had. the action is snappy. it comes very sharp. its become my new EDC.
Very snappy. I love the blade design. Great weight and balance. Perfect for EDC!
So far I'm very pleased with this knife!
For the quality & build the knife is worth 3 times the price.
I’m used to large bowie fixed blades & asian and medievil swords but this AUTO SIDE OUT BLACK ON BLACK TANTO SERRATED is great; excellent quality and very precise action...can’t beat the value for many moons of joyful use! Thanks Boker & BladeHQ great job!
Good buy for the money, especially when it's on sale. It fires like a gunshot and locks up solid, though there is a little lateral blade play. I have better knives in this price range, but this one is just plain fun, and I won't feel bad beating the hell out of it. This is the one I'll use when I can't bring myself to pry out that staple or punch a hole in that can with my ZT 0450.
I've been carrying the same Boker auto for 11 years. The best all around folder I've ever owned. Only buying another one because I broke the belt clip "my fault". It still works like the day I bought it.
Best knife I've ever owned. Everyday use is Fantastic! The tip is as strong as Ive ever owned. I use it for everything without fear of breaking. Working with wood, painting, wiring, absolutely anytime a knife is needed its right there clipped to my pocket and opened with the push of a button and job done. It has never opened in my pocket, ever. I ground off some of the rougher areas so when I put my hand in my pocket its not uncomfortable. I put a drop of BlueFix of the button to make it a little more prominent and easy to open without any problems of unexpected opening in my pocket.
I've had this knife for three years and its still sharp and opens perfectly. Great blade and it is always with me.
Well I buy knives for a couple of main reasons. As a martial art instructor, I look for knives useful for self defense. As a carpenter, I look for knives that will be useful for the job site. As a dad, I look for knives that are practical for everyday tasks. The box it comes in is certainly way cool. Magazine clip (I own an AK-47). The knife itself is a little on the small end. I own other knives that are 3.25" blade length. This one actually seems smaller, maybe the shape. Overall, I do love the tango shape, both helpful for job site and self defense. The blade came reasonably shape, but I sharpened it before use, as my first use was going to be installing windows. The deployment is sticky and slightly awkward. After about 30 openings on the job, it loosened up a little, but still sticky. It is very helpful to have a knife that you can open and close easily with one hand when doing construction. Blade thickness was nice for more precise work. I also had the Cold Steele Reacon in site and it works well for more beefy work, but is not a great one hand opening or closing tool. The black finish quickly wore off when I was simply cutting off excess foam insulation. I think this is a manufacturing defect. I have never had this happen with other knives, even ones that I have had for over a decade. In terms of self defense,...smallish knife that some people might like. I prefer more heavy knives. My EDC is an Emerson super commander, just for your reference. I have never carried an auto for concern of it failing. This knife hasn't changed that concern. So 2 1/2 stars for self defense, due to it being sticky to open. 4 stars for utility job knife. 3 stars overall. Good starter knife for autos and worth the price
