This Guardian3 model has a Sabre style blade with a Nimbus finish (black/stonewash) and 3D OD green micarta handle scales.
The Guardian3 is a relatively compact fixed blade that is designed to handle the work load that might typically fall upon a heavy duty everyday folder. Bradford Knives uses Bohler M390 steel with a double temper and cryo treatment for exceptional blade characteristics. 3D micarta scales offer a comfortable grip without being abrasive. Each knife includes a premium leather sheath with belt loop and plastic blade insert.
Bradford Knives are made in the Pacific Northwest, and while relatively new to the knife making scene Bradford is well-versed in machining and has a passion for knives that comes though in his finished product.
Everything that you would expect from a high quality American made knife. It fits perfectly in hand (size L glove). I haven’t stopped carrying it and don’t plan to anytime soon. Perfect EDC fixed blade. Highly recommend! If you’re on the fence, just get it. You won’t regret it!
I’ve worn this knife every day for months since I bought the armatus carry sheath for it! Didn’t really like the old sheath and it did not fit on my carry belt. This knife holds an edge for a long time! I have multiple knives in m390, but the heat treat on this one just seems to be perfect! The handle is great, I have large hands and I can get all 4 finger on the handle if I use the choil. The jimping is great, the finish on the steel is tough, and the lines are all perfect! I may never carry a folder again! S30v- daily maintenance to keep a hair popping edge. M390 from Bradford- I strop it like once a week at most to keep a hair popping edge!
I am a 58yr old male who enjoys week long backpacking/fly fishing trips to alpine lakes in the Wind River Range, WY. I enjoy setting up a 6-8 day base camp (Bushcraft style) as much as I enjoy fly fishing. A good bushcraft type knife is a must have on my trips. Out the box this knife is truly a work of art. It is absolutely beautiful and feels good in the hand. This is my first M390 steel knife to own. It came razor sharp out the box... Looking forward to bringing this knife on my next backpacking trip to the Winds... Thanks Bradford for a very nice well made knife. PS.... the M390 is a great steel however it will not throw sparks off a farro rod... If your wanting a knife that throws sparks of a Ferro rod check out their knife with the V4E steel.
