In their second collaboration, Brous Blades and Dustin Turpin present the Insight flipper. It's a titanium frame lock knife with a flipper-operated, stonewash finished D2 steel blade. The handle has been 3D milled and is outfitted with the proprietary Brous bearing system for smooth flipping action. It features a three-piece flow-through G-10 back spacer, and milled titanium pocket clip. The Insight is a stellar design and it's an excellent every day carry knife.

Surprisingly Awesome Little Flipper
Tony M.
I had admired this little knife when introduced, and finally when the price came within my rather arbitrary striking distance. I was also prompted by owners of the Insight TTTT. All I can say is it was well worth its introductory price, and is an insane BHQ bargain as of 4/17. You shouldn't let this one slip by if you can help it! I'm a convert.

It's a fantastic size for us urban EDC's, and the action and ergonomics were frankly unexpected, at least by myself. The angular look is deceiving, it's incredibly ergonomic, and I have big hands. It does take a bit of time to break in, compared to similar $400ish ZT, Reate, Rike etc. flippers. So expect it to be a bit course and non-linear at first. But once you spend a few hours with it, and it's in its zone, man oh man. I love this thing! The fit and finish is exactly what you'd expect and demand for a knife in this range. Minimalistic lines, elegant proportions, and epic performance.

I got the stonewashed version, and the blade is closer to what I'd consider a satin finish than what I'd call stonewashed, at least by ZT standards. It's bright and reflective, and I love it. The scales are also quite satin like, and not as tumbled/course compared to other brands, yet still retains a relaxed and used look. In the end, this knife far surpassed all expectations in all categories. I thought I'd send it off for some pimping, but no. It's sticking around a while.

This is a great knife by a great maker in collaboration with a great designer. I happen to really like D2, as mere mortals like me can easily sharpen it - and it holds an edge a good long time. Steel snobs need not apply, but there's a reason Jason uses this for all his blades. Recommended, and if you can buy 2, so much the better. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat! As far as I'm concerned, this is a borderline classic.
Absolute beauty...

Pictures can't do it justice. This knife has an amazing feel to the hand. Smooth action and built like a rock! Thank you

This is my third Brous and the best yet. The fit and finish is flawless.

Perfect centering, like dead nuts perfect. The milling on the frame is attractive and functional for traction. It's very sharp out of the box. Nice early lock up.

And the flipping action is insane. It fires so hard you would think there's a spring in there.

This is the perfect EDC knife and a great addition to my collection.

Get it get it get it get it! I have no complaints whatsoever. I don't know how blade hq is selling these for half the price. Seriously I'm probably going to buy another one. 10/10 all day. Get them while they last!
