Burr Oak Knives Bowie Flipper #1 Knife Damascus/Micarta (3.75" Damascus)

We picked up this exceptional handmade folding knife from Mark Nevling (Burr Oak Knives) at the 2015 BLADE Show in Atlanta. It has a chainsaw chain Damascus 1084 steel clip point blade with a flipper opener. The titanium liner lock handle is outfitted with 5-layer Damascus bolsters, natural canvas Micarta scales and a bronzed titanium pocket clip. The liners and steel backspacer are fileworked. This knife comes with a signed certificate of authenticity, dated 6/5/15.

Mark Nevling, the craftsman and creator of Burr Oak Knives, discovered his enthusiasm for knife-making in 1987 when he created his first knife. He has continued in perfecting his work since that time, now as a full-time maker with a skill set that is evidenced in the exemplary knives he produces. Mark Nevling is also a volunteer firefighter and a certified first responder in Hume, Illinois; this gives him working knowledge of the particular needs of these professionals.
