Long time collector, new to Civivi. My first order really surprised me with the design and quality of the knives. Just as Spyderco put Japan in the limelight, I think brands like Civivi and Kizer to name a few will do the same for China. Not really a beater knife but a solid EDC'er. I use my old Spyderco Endura as a work knives and beater, Civivi knives are more a work of art and collectable to me! Better step up your game US companies, China's coming for ya.

I have been collecting knives for many years ( i'm 75). I recently purchased this knife and I'm very pleased. the blade has a very nice damascus design and is hard enough to hold a good edge. The sandalwood handle has a nice grain pattern and the design feels good in the hand. The flipper mechanism is smooth and the liner lock is positive and secure. This has become my daily carry knife. An excellent value for the money.

Listen guys,
This isn't a "work knife" that you're gonna lug around the construction site, and beat into paint cans and rip cement bags....this aint it......but WOW, she is pretty!!
That unique sandalwood, and I mean unique, because no two knives will be the same.....every handle WILL be different, as well as the blade patter with the Damascus.
So the way I see it, you're getting for $100 a gorgeous UNIQUE one of a kind knife, with great scales and damascus pattern for $100 ..... I mean c'mon ??
BUY one....you'll see what I mean :)

I read many reviews about this knife, including the previous one from this page. Yes, I agree that the blade leaves a little to be desired, but I was not buying this knife for the Damascus, I was buying for the design and the contrast of the materials used. Civivi calls this Damascus, and it "technically" may be done in the same fashion, but I am not an expert and will leave the detailed analysis to the experts. The Elijah Isham design is what caught my eye and the sandalwood is what kept me coming back. Elegantly raw is my compliment for this knife. The action is pretty good, though you may have to throw a bit of extra snap with your flipping finger. The sandal wood is unfinished but pretty smooth, so do not expect something shiny or satin coated. All this being said and I have only had it a few hours. I'm sure with play and use, the action will loosen up even more. Buy the knife because you like it, try not to get caught up in the Damascus conundrum. Enjoy!

It seems to be a pretty big "bang for your buck" like the rest of the CIVIVI line, but the Damascus leaves a lot to be desired. I knew that for the price I wasn't going to receive the world's nicest Damascus blade, but this blade looks like polished steel with hard water stains in a Damascus pattern.

The bearings are smooth, no blade play or wobble, the scales are gorgeous and feel great in the hand, the clip isn't bad, and it fits in my pocket very comfortably due to its slender profile.

Overall, it's a nice knife, but I think will be removing the fake Damascus finish and doing a nice etch and stonewash on the blade.
