This Mini Mastodon has a black G-10 handle with a carbon fiber overlay and a Damasteel blade.
The CIVIVI Mini Mastodon are burly folders modeled after classic meat cleavers, including the characteristic round hole near the tip. On the old school cleavers, that hole was there so you could hang the knife up, but you won't have to with the Mastodon thanks to the deep carry pocket clip. The handle has a neutral shape that fits a variety of grips. Carry a real statement of a knife with the Mini Mastdon.

The only thing I wonder is if this is actually true "Damasteel" because the spine of the blade shows none of the layered patterns, which is what I am used to seeing on other (much more expensive) Damasteel blades...I would love to know where they source their stock steel from, or if they just make something cosmetically similar-looking back home in China.
Regardless, I am happy with my purchase and of course BHQ service was top-notch, as always.
