The quality of this knife is amazing and the action is better than some of my knives that I own that are triple or more the price! The blade shape is awesome and the versatile deployment system makes this a great EDC knife to be flipped, spydie flicked or thumbed open.

The pattern on the scales is attractive and usefully grippy!

Great knife

For the money, this is an outstanding knife. If the handle material was a little bit better this would be an easy 5 star. Great action, great blade shape, nice and sharp right out of the box.

I was on the fence about this knife due to the fact that I don't like plastic scales, but I heard so many good things from people that for $50 I just had to try it. Now that I've carried it a bit I find the frn scales do not really bug me at all, they are on the thicker side though if that bugs you, personally I think it It improves the ergos which are stellar. Nice blade too, looks good, and performs even better with that nice thin blade stock paired with a hollow grind.
Finally I love the titanium milled clip, it works great and gives the knife (for me at least) a higher end feel. also I forgot to mention this knife feels extremely light for the size. So if you were on the fence like me, just do yourself a favor a pick one up.

-ps I ordered this knife on Tuesday and it was here Friday, thx for the fast and efficient experience BHQ.

Overall this knife is fantastic! Really nice smooth action, jimping where it's supposed to be especially on the flipper tab. I love D2 steel, I live in the desert so rust isn't an issue and what you get from D2 compared to the price is great. The blade is good looking as well as functional. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the plastic scales. It's a very small thing to complain about but the light weight combined with the plastic scales does cheapen the feel of the knife a bit. But for $50, all the pros waybout weight that one little con. Buy it and be happy!

Civivi just seems to understand the things that you can skimp on -- and the things you can't -- to produce an affordable knife that people will still love. And I love this thing.

Yes plastic handles, but they feel rock solid and have the same scale pattern found on a couple of WE's high-end flippers (which are also great). Yes cheaper knife steel, but beautifully machined with a hollow grind, fuller and chamfering everywhere. Not to mention a blade that is very thin behind the edge and just a great slicer.

And finally, as with the Baklash, they just nailed the action. Whether opening with flipper or the thumb hole (hint: push upward, not out), the blade flies open and locks up with a satisfying "thwack." It feels as good as my $260 WE.

The only negative is the clip, which looks nice but is very thin and has a tendency to catch on things. (I've had my Wyvern pulled from my pocket that way already). At the same time, you will struggle a little getting the knife in and out of some pockets because of the texturing on the handles. That scale pattern feels great in hand and gives a reliable grip, but it's not the best for sliding against fabric.

This is how frn or plastic scales should be done if that's what you're going with. Use it to make shapes, designs and textures that would be too expensive to do in g10. Excellent blade, grind and edge geometry, nice and thin behind the edge, something CIVIVI has been doing great (same as the baklash). Strong detent, middle flicking can be done by flicking from the middle of the blade (flick from the top of the opening hole and you'll tear your fingernail off). Better than the baklash, to me yes it is.

This knife is great. I was skeptical of the frn handles but they feel great. Ergos are amazing. Cant say i have had a knife fit my hand so well. The action is well civivi has great action. The sounds are a little muted compared to the praxis. I dont mind. In public a full on smack from a flipper knife scares people. Fit and finish perfect.
