This Blade HQ exclusive CRKT Burnley Squid comes with Orange G-10 scales and a black stonewashed blade.

Based on Lucas Burnley's popular compact custom knife, the Squid is bound to be a hit, not just because of its accessibility, but also for the value and performance factors that CRKT brings to the table. This BHQ exclusive model utilizes a safety orange G-10 handle for added grip, and lightens the knife up a whole ounce under the original. The stainless steel frame lock and a low profile pocket clip are both black stonewash finished. Thumb studs are utilized to deploy the spear point blade, which has jimping/grooves for added grip.

Great budget knife

Well made, non-threatening and affordable. Makes a good office carry. Slim in the pocket, the g-10 handles lighten it up a bit and add to grip. Nice little knife.

Great affordable EDC

Just got this guy in the mail and I love it! The knife came shaving sharp. The g10 keeps the squid light weight while staying grippy without being overly aggressive. It's easy to open either by flicking or casually with the comfortable thumb studs. Some left handed buyers might have to get used to the pocket clip being locked in right pocket carry tip up only but as I am right handed this doesn't bother me and I, like most, prefer tip up. The knife is a great buy and won't break the bank, I will say that the orange g10 looks brighter in the pictures but upon opening the box I'm glad it was darker, the dark stone wash and the "pumkin" orange look great together. This is another knife that I might be buying more for friends.
Great little knife

I bought this knife for an outdoor carry. I have a paramilitary 2 but sometimes itís a little over kill. This knife is perfect. The blade is super sharp and easy to sharpen when you put it through the ringer. The g10 makes this knife even lighter which I love. The orange helps it stand out on the forest floor but the stone washed black gives it the uniqueness I was looking for. A great budget edc knife. Highly recommend.

Small, lightweight and came sharp! There was nothing about this knife that I disliked
Great small edc

This is a great small edc knife. When i first opened it and held it in hand it felt great. The one i got was a bladehq exclusive "grid squid" model. It is really heavy for its size, but i like a heavy knife. The ergonomics are great as it looks right into hand. The lanyard hole at the end allows all my fingers to hold onto the knife. I really like the blackwash finish on the blade and handles. I just took it apart recently and i realized it had plastic or nylon washers. But after i cleaned it up and oiled it became really smooth. There is almost no bladeplay and the knife is really smooth. Also, the centering is now perfect. The gimping on the top of the blade really helps my thumb from sliding down the blade. The only problem is i see the finish wearing in that are and the pocketclip. But its not that obvious and if you like a weathered look to your knife, with enough use the finish will look really good. Overall a great small ergonomic knife that i would recommend to anyone. Bladehq has a lot of really good models to pick from and if your lucky you might get one of the first production ones so buy fast as these are getting more and more popular. A great higher end alternative for this knife would be the Spyderco Techno. (also an outstanding knife). You can't go wrong with either of them.
Great little knife.
