The CEO Liner Lock knife comes in a variety of colors, blade finishes, and handle materials.
If you like the original you’ll love this one. Very nice blade and beautiful blue micarta scales. Flips open smooth and clean. This is an executive’s knife so if you have sausages for fingers or have lost dexterity from swinging an axe all day, this knife may not be for you.
The CEO is such a classy knife that it deserved a shot at being made with better materials. This version is just as AWESOME as the original and tells me the Flipper version is gonna have a chance to shine as well one day! I eagerly await the next version of either CEO. Hey CRKT, any chance we can get it in 20CV or Elmax or M390 or or or....?
First off, Micarta and S35VN...... Well worth $135! For those that say it is too hard to deploy, just use it a few times and you figure it out. The detent is pretty strong, so the right pressure on the thumb stud will send this thing flying open like an auto. This is the best version of the CEO, without a doubt!
Excellent small, concealable, unassuming, professional, non-threatening and may other adjectives to describe this knife, but perhaps the name, CEO, is best. IMO, this knife is amongst the best at actually being a knife while also not being perceived or even noticed as such. To the facts----S35VN blade steel goes without saying. The deployment takes some practice and I could see this working better to those with small to medium size hands. My hands are in the L to XL size and after 10-15 reps. I was really starting to get it down. This carries blade down without an option to go blade up---which is fine by me, but may not be for others. Really like the IKBS ball bearing pivot which lends itself to smooth deployment and the reassurance that it will be this smooth for many, many uses. Lock up is snug tight and liner lock release is very nice---again, considering this knife is small and everything appears made to disappear---if you will. The blue Micarta handles are just sharp. Well done CRKT!
I don't know if my hands are too big or what, but my CEO is extremely hard to open with one hand with the thumb stud. It's not possible to just fling it open like on the video. The blue micarta is cool. I wouldn't call the blade very sharp, it's not dull but it's not so sharp either. Overall the price is a little too much. I regret not picking the flipper version.
I have the original version of this knife. Its biggest flaw is that the thin profile of the entire knife makes it hard to deploy the blade with large hands without almost cutting yourself. The better steel and handle material would have been better served on the flipper version.
