This knife gives me the warm and fuzzies when I hold it. I thought it might be too thin and when I first got it the action was a little tight. All that fell to the wayside after a week with it. The action worked in nicely over a month or so of opening it. One thing that shines on the knife is the comfort in hand. The holes milled into the gram are chamfered and smooth and they not only balance the weight beautifully but also provide a perfect seat for your fingers when flipping open as well as when gripping for use. The Tanto blade is very useful and plenty strong. A couple of days ago I bored a hold in 1/4” plywood with it because I didn’t have a spade bit handy and it handled like a champ. I love this knife. Had it for 6 months hard use and it’s a joy. The edge retention isn’t great but for under $50 you can’t expect Magnacut, so keep a sharpener handy.
Had this almost a year now and was one of the first knives I got when I restarted my collection and even tho I’ve added several higher end blades since i still regularly carry. I like the thin handle and have been pocket carrying it with no clip In the back pocket. It is unnoticeable and easy to grab this way for me. The steel is pretty good and sharpens easy and the lock up is perfect on mine. The sound of it locking up or closings are one of the joys of the stainless steel frame. Great knife at this price. I’d pay a heck of a lot more for a remade version of the whole KS series if CRKT did it in titanium and like CPM-154. Do it!
