Description

The Hammond Cruiser is a full-size manual folding knife with a solid build and feel. The bead blast finished clip point blade is 1/8" thick with a plain multi-use edge and can be opened with the flipper or dual ambidextrous thumb studs. The honeycomb textured Zytel scales sit atop a steel liner lock frame; both are well shaped for an excellent grip with well-positioned finger grooves. Includes the CRKT LAWKS safety, which turns the folder into a virtual fixed blade. The pocket clip is four-way reversible for left or right handed tip-up or down carry.

Excellent grip for a plastic handle. The handle is full sized. Large for edc. The blade locks up well very little play. Came very sharp.
Major value for what it is.

I love these knives for the glove box. They're cheap, large, decent enough steel/quality, come very sharp and....did I mention cheap (especially on sale). Buy large quantities and throw them in your BoBs or cars.
Easily worth the money

You get a lot in this knife for extremely cheap. 4 way reversible pocket clip, flipper tab, the kinda cool LAWKS safety lock, and a massive blade. The scales are surprisingly comfortable thanks to their size. The knife does have some issues: the jimping is too small and in the wrong place to be particularly useful, the flipper isn't super smooth and needs some wrist to open, the thumb studs are kinda useless and uncomfortable to use, and my knife has extreme centering issues to the point that the knife is rubbing against the inside of the liner. However, for the low price these issues really don't matter and I don't care enough to be upset by them. Overall it's a great knife if you need a larger beater for camping or to throw in your car, or if you just want a cheap large knife that gives you a lot.
Bang for the Buck you can't beat this knife

As a beginning collector, after buying a few Kershaw flippers (I prefer flippers because of my arthritis), I gave this CRKT Hammond Cruiser a shot. I still find it hard to believe you can get this much knife for $17.99!!

Its not my usual EDC because its a bit bigger for me to carry all the time. But when I walk my dog at night in a very dark environment I want something a bit more substantial.

The 8Cr14MoV blade is thick and the finger-groove Zytel handles are extremely comfortable. The jimping also allows for more confidence in cutting chores. Finger studs are a plus though I don't use them much and there is an optional blade lock mechanism right next to the jimping at the back of the blade.

As I noted, an amazing value for a features-loaded EDC folder that you can use the heck out of.
