This is the best CRKT folding knife I’ve ever used, the action is superb and does what it’s really made to do amazingly, and that is a fidget toy, I mean cutting! It came razor sharp and is capable of cutting everything I’ve thrown at it! It is so light! The milling of the holes are done really well! The aluminum handle makes it though but light, AUS8 is good for this price but we can’t expect CRKT to make a knife with anything better because all of their knifes are made with AUS8. The locking liner is a cool feature but I have yet to use it in a situation that it would be required. I don’t like that it comes tip down BUT the clip can be moved to 4 different locations on the knife, the knife works both for left handlers and right handlers so it’s great for everyone. Great price greater build quality! Trust me this knife has better build quality than most $200 + CRKT knifes! Take my word for it! It’s amazing! Or don’t and live a sad life.
Nice knife, but I wouldn't buy it for the full $100. So many better knives at that price. For the sale its on at the time I bought it though ($35) it is absolutely worth it. Nice action (well oiled from factory but slightly squeaky), decent steel, and a nice feel. Only complaints are its much larger size compared to older models, and the mediocre thumb studs.
I got this knife some years ago its light comfortable in the hand and a nice overall look edge retention is decent but not great and the humidity of Georgia is problem with rust but I love the knife never the less and would highly recommend to anyone who loves knives but can't spend hundreds of dollars
I absolutely love the look and function of this knife. However, I only rated it 4 stars because the flipper just doesn't have quite enough grip in the jimping. It makes deployment of the blade a little hesitant. I would prefer something more along the lines of the Hootenany (also by CRKT). I resolved this by adding just one more jimp towards the end of the handle. I would recommend using a Dremmel tool because my angle grinder was a bit aggressive (no problems - I got lucky!) Now deplyment is a pleasure. I can really get a grip on the flipper.
When I found this knife I was super pumped and ordered it up. After unboxing I learned it was a liner lock and I must say the liner lock absolutely ruins this knife hands down. It offsets the blade, it ruins the seen through design , and the knife is much thicker than the original M16. I still have it 3 stars because I love kit Carson m16s in general and the fit and finish is good just poor execution on crkt's part.
