The frame lock handle is satin finished 420J2 stainless steel with a low-profile reversible pocket clip.

Quite frustrated by this folder

Hey guys,

the title says it all. I am quite frustrated with this knife.

I love the feel of the handle.
I love the frame lock.
The flipper is a bit small but the IKBS ball-bearing system is soooo smooth.
I love the blade. I mean the finish is wonderful.

But I just can't carry it because of the damn pocket clip.

While I do respect the design and the build of the knife, I just don't understand the pocket clip.

There's just so much space between the tip of clip itself and the handle that it won't clip on anything.

At best what it will do is prevent the knif from falling deep in the pocket but that's it.

I usually carry my pocket knives in my back pocket but with this one, be it with pants or jeans, the knife will just slide on my pockets setting it in a uncomfortable position when I sit.

Moreover I almost dropped it several times stepping out of cars because it just doesn't have any retention.

So while I absolutely love the design of the knife, I just can't recommend it to anyone because of that clip.

My favorite CRKT to date, no doubt. The sleek, thin design is sexy as hell, and really fun to carry- and it flips like a rocket. Centering is as close to prefect as you get, really early lock up, no play in any direction- edc perfection for less than 100 bucks- what are you waiting for?
