I bought the original Pilar when it first came out, and I loved it! It was a very sad day when I lost it. I finally rebought it with the micarta scales. I love the Pilar, but I'm not in love with the micarta. It seems a bit light for this knife. With that being said I still love it.
I can’t put this down nice little workhorse! Very smooth great blade D2. You should also look at big brother pilar three. Great job CRKT!
Everything but the blade is great, but I can’t even cut the tape on a box without getting another chip or two. Owned for a week, sharpened once, infrequent light use only so far. Edit: after a few weeks and some sharpening, I've gotten past the bad edge and the blade is fine now. Good knife with a little work.
