Based off of the renowned Tighe Fighter by Brian Tighe, the BT Fighter Compact is an awesome tactical folder from CRKT, coming in at a much more accessible price point and a much more pocketable size. The knife has a GFN handle with a textured backspacer, and a sturdy plunge lock for easy one handed closure. The blade opens smoothly with the the ball bearing pivot and the thumb stud or flipper. Add a custom design to your collection with the BT Fighter from CRKT!Features:
I hope bladehq does an exclusive on this. Axis and compression locks get a lot of praise for being fidgety fun, being safer because you keep your fingers out of the blade path etc. Manual button locks, plunge locks, do everything axis and comp locks do but better, just a button push and the blade swings closed, it's more addicting than a fidget spinner to open and close for hours. These have become my favorite lock type but there just isn't that many around. The only negative, besides the steel I guess, is the pocket clip is very tight with no way to fix it, it's not deal breaking tight but much more than I'd like
Its an Ok folder. D-2 should be considered with next generation. Like the oversized finger choil. Didn't think plunge lock was any more fun than an Axis lock. Not sure if this has IKBS or like the Fossil just has the logo sans IKBS pivot.Would like some fine jimping on flipper and finer, gripier jimping on thumb ramp. Slight horizontal play, good lock up. Clip well thought out for right carry. Not sure if it converts to left? Also I need handle to be one finger width longer for my hands.
