Some knives don't require an introduction, but if the Chaos Kukri pictured above and measurements to your right haven't drawn a clear picture: this is a beastly trench knife. The thick SK-5 carbon steel blade has an exaggerated S-curve and razor sharp edge that provides maximum chopping power. Cold Steel drew inspiration from the classic battlefield born trench knives of both World Wars in the "D" ring guards, made from reinforced 6061 aluminum. At the base of the handle is a thick 1055 carbon steel pommel, which matches the epic size of the Chaos Kukri fixed blade.

The Chaos Tanto comes complete with a tough Secure-Ex sheath, which features a belt loop for dependable, versatile carry.

With a hack saw I got rid of the knuckle guard! This shifts the weight forward fixing the only issue I had with this kukri! With a punch & file I further customized the grip. This is one helluva badass kukri.
A little unwieldy and uncomfortable

This kukri is not a great one. Itís uncomfortable in the hand due to that crossbar splitting the grip and the metal doesnít provid much traction at all. Meanwhile the blade steel doesnít take much better than a chopping edge ó†definitely wonít get sharp enough to cut meat very well. The balance is all wrong as well, and the machete is impossible to draw from the sheath due to the blade shape. I have one in my collection but I think Iím going to sell it and its double edge little brother.
