This Recon 1 Clip Point folder features an OD green G-10 handle and premium CTS-XHP steel blade with a black DLC finish!

Cold Steel has made a name for themselves by creating high performance knives like their Recon 1 tactical folding knives. This model adds to the already over-engineered Recon folder by outfitting it with a USA-made Carpenter CTS-XHP steel blade that offers superior edge sharpness, retention, and toughness. In addition, the blade has a durable black DLC finish. The Recon 1 utilizes Cold Steel's Tri-Ad Lock and strong, lightweight G-10 handles for unbelievable strength. Ambidextrous lock design, thumb stud openers, and a reversible pocket clip.

Who needs a gun?

I got this knife because I'm going camping soon. Upon receiving it, I slipped it in my back pocket and went about my day. on my way home from work, I heard a woman screaming. I went to investigate hoping I could be of some service. I rounded the street corner only to find a princess trapped in the highest room in the tallest tower of a castle in the middle of a lake of lava. I was caught off guard, and almost turned to the authorities. But as I reached for my phone, I suddenly remembered my Recon 1. Deploying the knife for the first time felt like King Arthur drawing Excalibur from the stone. A burly fire filled my heart as I ran towards my doom. With a Tarzan scream, I ran toward the dragon and with a single leap spanning 30 feet, I buried the CTS-XHP steel in it's heart. Not a chip on the razor sharp edge. Once I found the princesses door I found it was locked. I opened my Recon 1 with authority as the Tri-ad lock engaged. The knife made quick work of the wood door as I chopped through it with ease. I escaped with the princess but it turns out we didn't get along, what with me not being a prince and all. but its a really solid knife and would use to slay a dragon again
