Ferrum Forge Knife Works didn't lie...this knife is awesome. Great design, excellent fit and finish, the detent is crazy good, and the price for this quality of knife is definitely a plus. You won't be disappointed!

I'm sure a lot of people looking at the Fortis 2.0 probably have, or at least are comparing it to, the Massdrop collaborations FF did, especially the Falcon and the Crux. I have both and was impressed by the quality, especially for the price. So, the question was, are those just an insane deal and is the Fortis 2.0 just more expensive, or would it be worth the additional $100 or so? Weeeeell... I'm gonna say, both. The construction and finishing are very similar on both lines, but at the same time, there are details and additional work the went into the Fortis that I think definitely justify the additional cost.

The detent and action on this guy are awesome, perfectly adjusted, very crisp and snappy. They added some chamfering, especially on the lockbar, that improve the function and feel from the Massdrop lines. Milling both the show side and the lockbar sides was a good choice and really make this feel more like a full featured high-end production knife. The finishing on the blades really pull this together too, which was one thing I thought my Crux was always begging for.

I just got this in today, so this is a first impression, but having owned the other lines for a while and knowing how the construction that WE knife used on those is performing after a good amount of time, I think I can safely say that this is a step up and still a good buy.
