I own 5 Patamilitary 2s and I've bought at least 7 Griptillians for friends and myself (full and mini). I love both of those knives, definitely must haves and 5 stars - ask anyone into knives and they should agree. I might be a bit of a knife maniac. I think Hogue deserves to be up there with Spyderco and Benchmade after putting my hands on this product. I collect and I also use my knives, brutally. This is a lightweight stainless tank with amazing tolerances, an integral frame, unstoppable lockup (threw it as hard as i could at some targets, lock will not fail), and it has the least obtrusive pocket clip I have ever experienced in hand. The factory edge was light saber sharp and the handle feels so right in hand. Pluge locks are obscenely strong and are normally exclusively available on automatics (which are illegal in many states). Yes, this costs more than a Griptillian and uses the same materials, and yes, it costs about as much as a PM2 with s30v and g10. I think this is whats holding hogue back, it doesn't necessarily look like a good value on paper. I assure you, this is an essential tool made by an under recognized company. Please buy this knif eeyou are new in the knife game or a pro already. This thing is dependable and fun as hell.
