Hogue makes hardworking reliable tools
Dan S. on Mar 20, 2019

This is my 5th Hogue purchase and the first thing I noticed was this knife has no safety. The 2 microflips (wharncliffes, 1 gift 1 for self) I bought prior both had safeties. I do miss this feature even though I am unlikely to need it. Beyond that nitpicking this is an excellent edc you can actually use daily working the trades. That's why this is my 3rd, nothing is wrong with the first 2 they are both little tanks, I just wanted an excuse for another and when I saw drop point in blue I had that excuse. Extremely tough and strong all around. The steel is excellent for hard use. It stays sharp and is forgiving if you hit the wrong material. when you need to sharpen it that's a breeze too. I have a lot of knives and tons on the market are excellent these days. The flipper mechanic, plunge lock, and all around strong/tough build make this my go to even though I have knives I consider "better". It's such a pleasure to use and it looks so modern.
