This knife is a great edc. It comes sharp and can be brought to an even keener edge. It has a solid feel, and the lock up is good. The tanto edge comes to a wicked point. With a bit of practice it leaps open quickly after snagging on the pocket. May be small for a gloved or large hands.
Because of its size and ease of use, I carry this knife just about everyday. I use this knife for general day to day tasks. It feels comfortable in hand and holds a great sharpness over time. My only tiny complaint is that the wave opening, although it works beautifully, will sometimes snag in the pocket along with the somewhat wide disk shaped thumb stud. I especially experience this problem when digging it out of the pocket when crouching or even from a sitting position. Aside from that, I highly recommend this knife against its competitors at such a great price too.
These little guys were a steal at $17 so I bought 2 of them. Both came hair popping sharp if that matters to you, but most people touch up the edge anyways, like I did with a strop. Solid lockup, solid action even on teflon washers, and very solid ergonomics for being such a small knife. I've never had an emerson design with the Wave feature and I love it already, it's super easy to learn and comes naturally after a week of carry and use. I've whittled, cardboard cut, and done some other small everyday tasks (zip ties and clamshell packaging) and this little knife has easily done it all and kept its edge surprisingly well, especially for being 8Cr14Mov. If you're looking for a small, sturdy, cheap beater EDC knife you'd be hard pressed to find a better candidate.
I just received my cqc-k yesterday. I really like the look and feel of this knife for the price. I think it will make a good edc knife based on the size and weight. I enjoy the Emerson design of this knife. The all black coloration combined with the tanto blade style looks great! I cant say much about how durable it is because I just bought it. It does seem very sturdy and has no blade play. However, for 29 bucks and another 3 for shipping, I think it is well worth the money!
