Description:
The Kershaw Fraxion is a lightweight EDC flipper with a sleek contemporary design from custom knifemaker Jens Anso. Its streamlined design features slim G-10 handles with a carbon fiber overlay, keeping carry weight just under 2 ounces. The clip point blade is built from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a top swedge for enhanced slicing performance.
Like all the Kershaw knives I own , I love this knife . The flipper action on this is incredible . The frame on this is only steel on one side ( lock side ) so I consider this to be a "light duty" knife even though it seems quite rugged . Very thin and light weight combined with quick , smooth , easy flipper action make this a "keeper" . The only flaw is a trivial one and easily fixed . The handle edges are a bit sharp and need to be lightly sanded with some fine sandpaper . Overall , this is a great little flipper knife and am glad I bought one .
I really like pocket knives in general. I have expensive and cheap knives. I picked up one of these fraxion knives, and liked it so much that I have bought two more since that time. I keep giving them away to friends. I guess I am a bit of a pocket knife evangelist. I am enthusiastic about them, and when I find an inexpensive knife that has a solid build and good action, I tend to buy multiples of them and give them to acquaintances. This little Kershaw is SOLID. It is practical, doesn't take up a lot of room, has good action, is light weight, feels good in the hand, and locks up easy, and has an easy to sharpen low-maintenance steel. People love them.
