Description

Description

This Launch 6 model has a bronze aluminum handle, black finished blade, and a reversible tip-up carry pocket clip.

The Launch 6 is the embodiment of a sleek, all-purpose tactical folder. It adds the convenience of push-button automatic action to facilitate one-hand opening and speed. The black DLC coated steel blade has a long cutting edge that aligns with the centerline of the handle.

Kershaw's automatic knife offering, the Launch Series, is simply superb. These knives have a compelling design, fast action, high-performance materials, and they're made in the USA!

Out of the box the blade would only open half way. But after opening and closing it several time it opens fine now

New Kershaw owner [fanboy] here. Bought my pops a Launch 7, neither of us have owned an auto before. Of course I had to open the Launch 7 and try it; there was much sadness when I had to give it to him rather than me keeping it. He noticed this grown man crying so he gave me his Kershaw Blur in return. I was quite surprised by how I enjoyed that knife, so I figured I would get the Launch 6 for myself.

The color to my eyes does appear bronze, perhaps even a dull copper. I like it better than I expected.

It could be nothing, but the Launch 7 felt like it fired more smooth; this Launch 6 may require a drop of lube.

Blade is the CPM154, excellent steel for the money. I'm brutal on my knives, so I am curious how it holds up.

As the other reviewer noted, this Launch 6 is lightweight, considering its size.

I have since purchased a variety of Kershaw knives, ranging from $9 Walmart finds to these. I have been pleasantly surprised.

I like the blade shape and length. I also like that it does not have a safety. I did have to loosen the pivot screw a small amount. The photo of the Bronze knife does not show the true color. The knife is brown, That was disappointing but it is still a great knife. It opens much quicker when I adjusted the pivot screw and it has no blade wobble up or down or side to side.

I like the design. the only flaw I found was that it has a weak spring. I have a sog special elite II same price that I have carried for over a year. the blade is still sharp, an the spring is still strong. It also has a safety. I prefer it over the kershaw .
Great design, good price, Made in the USA.

I love the blade shape, and the fine point works well for a detailed cut in tight spaces. Handle feels good, with lots of grip possibilities. It opens well, with very solid lockup. It's remarkably lightweight for the size, as there are no steel liners to weight it down. It's got a thin profile that rides in the pocket well. Everything was exactly as I hoped, except the blade had a wire-edge. It took a bit of honing on my WorkSharp sharpener to fix, but all in all a great American made knife, especially for the price.
