This is a wonderful EDC knife, thin in the pocket, very sharp, great action. Very happy with 20cv blade. Hope this comes back in stock so others can enjoy it.
If they did titanium liners on both sides with this blade it would be a more expensive knife. The Blade is Great. That Steel is Amazing. Please do this knife in a fixed blade. With 4.25 blade and a leather sheath.
I'm sure KAI had their reasons for discontinuing the Skyline but they make baffling decisions all the time so nothing new for them I guess. I own several variants of this knife and I was ecstatic when I found out about this BHQ exclusive in 20CV. I bought two, one to keep pristine and one to carry and use. Great knife and 20CV for roughly $100 is a good deal.
I’ve been wanting to try out this steel, and couldn’t resist this sleek flipper. Love the G10 jade scales, the fit and finish on this knife are fantastic. Loving the action on this, I’ll be flipping this all day. I’m very happy with this Skyline, another great BHQ exclusive. Fantastic flipper with great steel, I’m very happy I went for it.
I’ve been trying to get my mitts on one of these for some time now. I was pleased to get the email from blade hq informing me they were now available, with the added benefit of a 20CV blade. Shipping was free and quick. Excellent!
This is a classic knife and it’s nice to grab one in 20cv.
One sweet knife action and lock up is perfect and looks real good love the jade always love the skyline but this one is special blade is perfect also I highly recommend this one and very quick shipping from Blade HQ thanks
Pros: -good overall fit and finish -decent PB washer flipper action with practice -good thumb stud deployment -excellent lock thickness lockup -pretty large PB washers -external blade stops -Chicago screws -.087" stock thickness -.0165" thickness behind the edge Cons: -bevel grind on one side of the blade varies along the length -not a hollowground blade as advertised -lockside stud is not usable for deployment -approx. 1" of scale shows when in the pocket -needed lubrication out of the box -flipping action requires practice for reliable opening
Skyline XL is what got me started! I usually carried cheap knives till then! I now carry a spyderco PM2! Wish they would bring back the XL version! My og got stolen!
