This Blade HQ Exclusive Kershaw Skyline XL has a stonewashed blade and an OD green G-10 handle.

Iconic style and no-nonsense simplicity have kept the Kershaw Skyline in knife enthusiast pockets for years. It's hard to improve a classic design, so we didn't, we just made it bigger. The Skyline XL is a brilliant new exclusive knife from Kershaw that retains the style, usability, and performance of the venerable Skyline. While the XL is larger, it doesn't overwhelm.

  • Flipper and dual thumb studs allow easy one-handed opening.
  • Textured G-10 scales and a deep choil provide a secure grip.
  • Built with a slim handle design and 3-way reversible pocket clip for EDC convenience.

Too stiff to open
Stephen M.
I like the size and shape of this knife, but it takes a lot of force to open it. I cannot use just the flipper to open the blade. I have to combine it with a strong wrist flip to get the knife to open with one hand. Over time, I'm hoping that this will loosen up, but the stiff opening makes it very inconvenient to spend time trying to break it in.
Love it

Good knife for price good blade shape and ok steel. I would love to see a skyline fixed blade xl
A good value

I didn't realize I had ordered an XL even after watching NUTNFANCY's video. I like the OD handle and the open design, without the back spacer like the original Skyline. I didn't realize it was made in China which might be why there are nylon washers rather than phosphor bronze. The liner lock is extremely stiff. I hope there might a fixed blade version like the original Skyline.
love the weight and size

it feels good in the hand or pocket. great EDC for those who need a bigger blade

I tried to like (x3) the regular Skyline, but it was too small. This is a blown up version of the regular skyline, and IMO it feels, and deploys the same as the original. I love the green scales. The Chinese pocket clip screws are very soft, as usual. I totally stripped one, and the head even snapped off. I filed it down level with the handle scale, and placed the clip down by the lanyard hole (the way it should have arrived). Kershaw sent me replacement screws in less than a week:) This probably my favorite $40 or less knife.

I never owned the original skyline but it got so many good reviews i knew i had to have to XL version. Only complain the flipper takes a little more force then what I'm use to but probably just user error.

Changes from the original Skyline that I've noticed:
1) Pillars instead of the solid spacer.
2) The thumb studs are re-positioned and no longer function as blade stops.

My only complaint: The pocket clip screws are a bit too big for T6 and too small for T7. I have broken or stripped 4 tools so far and cannot get the screws to budge. If I could just get the tip-up pocket clip configuration, I would enjoy carrying this knife a lot more.
