So much for so little

Like my title says, never have I gotten so much for so little from a knife before. Great materials, great fit and finish, lightweight and sharp out of the box. My only complaint is if you plan on reversing the clip ask blade to do it or send it to Kershaw before they send you the knife. I promise you, you will not get them out. I had to take my Dremel with a cut off blade, put a very small slice in the screw without scratching the clip and put a straight screwdriver bit to the screw and turn it very slowly, with great difficulty. Otherwise, I think I'm going to order another one just to have a spare. For 25 bucks, how can you go wrong.
Great Knife

Good feel in the hands, great worker blade. Steel isnt the best but sharpens easily. Still sad I lost it about 2 months into owning and have been contemplating buying a new one or continuing the search.
Bang for the buck?

Tried it because the smaller one was so popular.

The good: $25? Super bargain and nice looking. Pretty lightweight for big knife with flipper and g10.

The bad: Requires some wrist to flick open. No bearings, so maybe needed time to work in the washers.

The ugly: Steel liner only on one side. G10 Seems flimsy without liner.

The verdict: Sent back without testing blade. For $25 it is probably a steal, but have been spoiled by other options that are just a few $ more.

Is the XL better

The original Skyline was Amazing, I carried it every day for well iver a year at work in a golf course. It did everything needed and then some. It was a sad day when I lost it. Recently I saw the Skyline XL, itís nice pretty much the same same but different. Obviously the XL is a bigger knife. And the small subtle size increases do make a dig difference in my opinion. Unfortunately in a negative way opposed to the original. Itís still a great knife but now just weighs a bit more, takes up just a little too much pocket space that the original. Will I carry the XL, oh yes, will I carry it as much as my other knifes.... probably not. I did pick it up in the BHQ sale which makes it a Great Deal, which is why I got the silver and black beaded versions.... :)
Best knife for the money!!

I have some expensive knives and I'n a bit of a steel snob. However loving the looks and light weight of this knife, i had to get it and test it out. It may not be perfect, plastic thumb stud, Chinese steel and the clip a little to short. But it is well made, fits my big hands perfectly, makes great feather sticks and very sharp out of the box. The lock is strong and the action is smooth enough. This is a great EDC for us big guys. Also the heat treat on the steel is great making it stronger than others of the same steel and its easy to sharpen.
maybe mine was the dud of the this batch

The knife feels great in the hand and the blade is of a thin enough stock that it makes quick work of whatever soft medium I throw at it. But about a week into owning it I noticed some pretty extreme up in down play, don't know if this is a common problem or not. Great ergos and fantastic blade geometry, but the lock doesn't give me much faith in it.
Worth every penny!

I've had this knife for quite some time now, nearly a year now I believe. I'd have to say it's one of my favs for edc. It's light, comfortable and rugged. The edge retention is above average and easily maintained. Flipping is smooth after a short break-in period and the several carrying positions offered are convenient. I have big hands so the XL is right up my alley for hand fitment. All in all its a brilliantly designed and constructed tool that's worth your hard earned money.
