Description

Description

The Kershaw Spline is a Les George designed knife named for the numeric function that defines a curve. This is a scaled down version of Les' Mini Harpy with a curvy modified wharncliffe style blade. A top swedge and a lowered tip enhance the cutting power of this sturdy folding knife. The blade and the stainless steel handle come in a blackwash finish that will keep your knife looking new after years of use. It fits perfectly in the hand with a finger choil for safety and comfort during tough cutting jobs. Item includes a deep carry pocket clip that is reversible for left or right hand carry and a SpeedSafe spring assist mechanism. Experience the elegant curves that characterize the Kershaw Spline.

For being a relatively cheap knife it works great as a small EDC blade. Lockup and assist mechanism work flawlessly and there is no play in the blade yet it flips out smoothly. Mine is used mostly to cut cardboard boxes and it retains its edge fairly well if not great. The blade shape seemed a bit odd at first but it works well in long precise cuts and is great for opening boxes without damaging whats inside. The only real downside of the knife is that the blade can get knicks fairly easily if used to cut through harder materials such as wire, but considering the cost I wouldn't expect more from it.
Nice action!
