The Kershaw Vedder flipper knife offers distinct looks and top-notch functionality in an affordable EDC package. It has a unique stainless steel handle with a titanium carbo-nitride coating and G-10 overlays. Kershaw's patented SpeedSafe assisted opening action ensures fast and safe blade deployment.
Features:I've had this knife in my EDC for about 3 months now and I'm surprised how nice it is. Extremely satisfied with it. Great flat grind, solid feel, fast assist deployment. Cons: slightly on the heavy side as an EDC, could use some nanolube on the washer, can often get in the way of other items in your pocket, crap steel, very slight recurve that needs to be Dremel'd off. Pros: excellent blade shape +++, great pocket clip, very comfortable rounded handle that fits a large hand, comfortable gimping, comfortable backspacer, no blade play (yet), thin blade stock (BladeHQ has it posted as 0.11inch, that is incorrect, mine is 0.08inch), feels firm in hand. Conclusion: The Cons are mitigated by the Pros. This is a great knife. The steel is not good and I wish Kershaw would just switch to D2 like most great budget knives [see the ESEE ZANCUDO] but 8Cr13MoV can polish very fast. tl;dr: good knife, many satisfied + 0.08 blade thickness!!
