Description

Description

Kizer Cutlery, in collaboration with knife maker Matt Cucchiara, present the Dorado. This production version of Matt's custom Dorado flipper has exceptional fit and finish. Its contoured titanium handle is satin finished and features Matt's large skull profile, anodized. The matching pocket clip is machined titanium to complement the sleek style of the knife and the tumbled S35VN stainless steel blade flies open on a ball-bearing pivot at the push of the flipper. Overall, this is truly a superb folder.

Really nicely designed knife, smooth, snaps into place, great detent, solid lock, really nice stone wash finish, arm shaving sharp, great action out of the box, really solid. I love the titanium work and size of the knife, it's basically same length as Para 2, same handle length, feels great in the hand. Definitely would recommend this knife. No permanent coating on the knife, just protective shipping stuff you wipe off, both sides are a great finish.
Top Notch

Sleek and refined knife. If you do get this knife, do yourself a favor and wipe the skull side down with an alcohol prep pad. Removing the oils brings out the blue color tremendously.

My only negative on this knife is the skull side seems to be clear coated. The lock side is not clear coated. It's a shame they coated the display side, on the open areas(area with no ano or etching) you can see like ripple or waviness, I'm assuming from too much coating. Wish it wasn't coated.
