The action on the S35VN blade is smooth and opens with either the ambidextrous thumb studs or the flipper. The clip point blade has a stonewash finish and a gently curved style. It locks securely with the frame lock design. The 6AL4V titanium handle shows a Greek key design around the edge and a leaf design in the middle. It has a soft green coating that is almost pearlescent. The titanium pocket clip also has the Greek key design and green coating. A classy and elegant knife, this folding knife from Kizer has a very unique style and is an attractive and hardworking knife to have around
Upon unboxing is knife, I was surprised by the light weight and semi bead blasted texture of the handle. I was expecting a glossy finish shown in the pictures. This finish is nice and gives the knife a little better nonslip grip. The blade was a little tight but loosened up in 3-4 flicks and deploys with a nice smooth authority on ceramic bearings. The S35vn blade is a nice chunk of razor sharp super steel that centers just slightly toward the clipside when closed. The lock arm chorl is cutout an eighth of an inch higher than the handle making disengagement of lock nice and easy. The clip is just a little tight but edges are rounded and shouldn't eat jeans. All around, this may be my new favorite EDC knife. The handle pattern is very elegant but this knife is all business.
One of the smoothest knives I've handled. Not to mention the fact that you also get great steal and great handle material.
Kizer absolutely hit this one out the park. Besides the obvious details, the lock-up on the knife was astounding. no wiggle or give, the bearings make the opening super smooth, you barely have to flip the thumb stud to open it, good detent, and awesome materials. Blade also came razor sharp. Easily passed the arm hair test.
